The Tour de Kosovo is a three-day Sportive event which will enable cyclists from the UK to experience cycling in Kosovo.  It is Gëzuar’s biggest ‘in-county' event in 2010 and will be used to help establish the company in Kosovo.

The Tour de Kosovo provides a unique opportunity to visit the world's newest nation-state and admire its breathtakingly beautiful scenery and fascinating cultural treasures. Kosovo is an intriguing place, full of paradoxes and surprises for any first time visitor. Embarking on the Tour de Kosovo will be not only an exciting but also a fulfilling experience.  By taking part in the Tour, participants will also be assisting community and social projects in Kosovo.

As a Sportive event, the aim is to attract both competitive and recreational cyclists to Kosovo to complete three 100 kilometre rides over three days.  In addition to the UK participants, the Tour will be available to Kosovo cyclists.

As a Sportive the event be run on open roads in a country where cycling has low participation rates.  In consequence, the Tour will benefit by a large on-road support team which will provide a lead car that will be just ahead of the lead rider(s), rear vehicle which will communicate to oncoming traffic of the ride and a number of motorcycle outriders performing a range of support tasks.

Each of the three stages will require riders to ride 100 miles over some very challenging climbs.  Although the ride is based on Sportive principles there will be prizes awarded on the final day for:
First ten finishers overall
Top ten climbers overall
First five teams overall
First 20 women overall
